Swedish Massage

Deep tissue massage with a SMA qualified physiotherapist in Somerset with Central Somerset Physiotherapy

Swedish massage employs a therapeutic approach characterised by smooth, flowing strokes aimed at fostering relaxation and diminishing stress.

Unlike the targeted pressure of deep tissue or sports massage, relaxation massage serves to calm the nervous system, improve blood circulation and release muscle tension.

Maderotherapy (Wood Therapy).

Available in Weston-s-Mare and East Brent.

Maderotherapy or wood therapy available at Central Somerset Physiotherapy.

Maderotherapy uses purposefully shaped wooden tools to manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to rid the body of stored toxins.

It is a 100% natural non-invasive technique from Columbia. Wood therapy is a massage treatment that helps sculpt the body and removes cellulite.

Maderotherapy is different than the fat reduction in that it targets both the deepest layers and surface level of cellulite tissue. This therapy is also effective for reducing fluid retention, draining the affected areas, resulting in the reduction of pain associated with fluid retention, while also improving its appearance. Maderotherapy offers a wide range of beauty benefits, including:

Maderotherapy at Central Somerset Physiotherapy

■ Cellulite Reduction:

Maderotherapy’s unique wooden tools work to break down fat deposits and improve the appearance of cellulite, leading to smoother, firmer skin.

■ Skin Tightening:

The therapy stimulates collagen production, helping to tighten and tone the skin

■ Lymphatic Drainage:

By encouraging lymphatic circulation, Maderotherapy aids in the removal of toxins and reduces fluid retention.

■ Improved Blood Circulation:

Enhanced circulation means healthier, more radiant skin.

■ Relaxation and Stress Relief:

The treatment’s relaxing massage elements provide a sense of well-being, making it an ideal choice for those seeking both beauty and relaxation.

The end result will be a fitter body, firm and tighter body and skin. And of course, a more relaxed, stress free you!
