Sports massage and therapeutic massage. Plus deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Maderotherpy and Kobido are all available at Central Somerset Physiotherapy. Treatments are available choosing from either our very experienced fully qualified SMA (Sports Massage Association) physiotherapists, specialist therapists or with our trained massage therapists.

Sports Massage with a SMA masseuse.
These appointments are with our qualified SMA masseuse, meaning you are getting an expert who understands the physiology beneath your skin. This is normally with Liz Gardner who is a chartered SMA physiotherapist, and Sports Masseur with over twenty years of experience delivering SMA level Sports Massage. SMA (Sports Massage Association).
Choice of 30min, 45min or 60min appointments are available. Perfect as part of a recovery process and often an addition to compliment physiotherapy. Be sure to book ahead as availability and venue choices may be limited.

Swedish Massage.
Swedish massage employs a therapeutic approach characterised by smooth, flowing strokes aimed at fostering relaxation and diminishing stress.
Unlike the targeted pressure of deep tissue or sports massage, relaxation massage serves to calm the nervous system, improve blood circulation and release muscle tension.
Maderotherapy - Body Sculpting Massage.
Available in East Brent and Weston-s-Mare.
Maderotherapy uses purposefully shaped wooden tools to manipulate targeted areas of muscle, fat and cellulite, stimulating the lymphatic drainage system to rid the body of stored toxins. Our trained therapist Dominika provides this specialist massage.

Kobido Up is based on the ancient Japanese facial massage technique.
Often including the head and neck as well as the face muscles. Encouraging rejuvenation of cells and the reduction in facial stress and wrinkles. Fluid retention is reduced and continued dispersion is encouraged. Manual Sinus Therapy with Dry Cupping.
The therapy combines two elements:
Manual Sinus Therapy.
Gentle massage and pressure techniques on the face, which help clear the nose, reduce pressure and improve sinus drainage.
Dry Cupping on the back.
Cups are applied mainly along the spine and between the shoulder blades. They stimulate circulation, support the immune system and promote recovery.
